Evening all,
First day back at work after the festive holidays and, whilst the day itself went well, I was disillusioned by the rise in fares plus the fact that there were considerable delays on both the Piccadilly & Northern lines. I was late on my first day back, despite leaving two hours for my travelling time 
Hence this slightly arsey drawing.
Positivity will prevail tomorrow, I promise!

Hello all,
The new website is getting underway now. I’m designing it myself (and having a friend do all the technical stuff…cos I’m not so hot with that yet)….though he will be using WordPress so there is hope for me!
Soooo I thought it’d be a good idea to visually map all that I do so I can figure out what goes where etc. From freelance arts management to art and illustration to writing, it’s all going in there…scary but exciting too.
A bit of a crazy doodle to kick-start the year…part of the ‘Something Creative Everyday’ project.

Happy New Year one and all!
Welcome to 2011. Really looking forward to the year ahead and am excited about all of the forthcoming projects tht are in the pipeline. Coming soon: the new website! Fully rebranded and much more up-to-date. Plus, I’ll be reworking the blog so stay tuned.
In other news, I am pleased to announce that I have my very first artist studio now so I have somewhere to lock myself away really be creative.
New year is a time for reflection and also planning ahead. This year I will be working on two personal projects to document the year ahead and I hope that you will tune in to find out more.
The first project is ‘Something Creative Everyday’. In a bid to ensure that I devote more time to my creativity and art I am commiting myself to doing something creative each and every day (no matter how small or seemingly insignificant) to keep those creative juices flowing. I will post the link on Flickr shortly so that you can check up on me…
The second project is one that I started last year (and got quite far with) but which came to an end halfway through the year. My ’365 Photo-a-day’ project is back on and will chronicle my (mis)adventures throughout 2011. Again, this will be posted on Flickr so do check it out. I will be posting photos from time to time on the blog too. Really excited about this project – I thoroughly enjoyed being more observant and really searching for interesting things to photograph in my (occasionally) mundane life. Plus I am determined to see this through to the bitter end – no matter what life might throw at me.
I wanted to share with you today my prep drawing for a piece I’m working on shortly. Again, it’s an illustration but I’ll be working it up on to canvas soon and using mixed media and collage to bring it to life. Looking forward to getting to grips with the canvas and messing about for a bit. After all, creativity is meant to be just that; fun.
Anyways folks, that’s it from me for the time being. Happy New Year to you all and here’s hoping that 2011 brings us health, wealth and happiness!
